To determine if the Chelmsford REC is right for your child, below are some answers to questions we have been frequently asked.

Where is the Chelmsford REC located?
The address for the Chelmsford REC is:
248 Mill Road
Chelmsford, MA 01824

The office phone number is: 978-455-8244

How does the assessment process work for insurance funded services?
First, we will schedule an initial meeting with a parent/parents to discuss our program and learn a little about their child. Then we will determine a time to observe the student either at The REC or at school. We will conduct subsequent observations until we feel comfortable developing a comprehensive treatment plan for the child.  After the plan has been written up, we will determine a clinical service delivery recommendation for ABA services at The REC.  Finally, we deliver all of this information to the insurance company and wait for an approval for services. Once approved will discuss scheduling services.

If my child already goes to The REC in Peabody or Londonderry can they transfer to the Chelmsford REC?
If this is the case, please contact us and we will discuss if transfer is an option for your child.

Will you be open during holiday and vacation weeks and weekends?
Yes!  We will be open on the same days that the REC in Peabody and Londonderry are open. All centers are open 359 days a year. We are closed on: News Years Day, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas and the Day after Christmas.

What are the hours for the Chelmsford REC?
The Chelmsford REC will be open the following hours:

Sunday: 9am-3pm

Will the Chelmsford REC accept MassHealth?
Not at this time but please continue to keep checking.

The Chelmsford REC will be accepting kids starting at age 2. We will have after school, summer and weekend programming.

The Chelmsford REC will be adding a comprehensive adult services program to the center. This program will be focused on clients ages 16 + and will give them the opportunity to learn functional life skills, develop independence and explore other creative learning experiences that they can take with them out into the community.

All REC programming will be based on the principles of applied behavioral analysis (ABA).
